Ku-Waiting For A Flight Home

Charlie is in Kuwait on his way home for R&R. YAY! He should be here in just a few days, depending on when he gets a flight out. He was able to get online today and we got to see him on the webcam for the first time since he left. Aidan and Rachel loved it and fought over who got to talk to him first, lol.

Cosmic Bowling

Last night for parent's night out we went Cosmic Bowling. I haven't been in a long time and it was a lot of fun.

Before bowling, we went to Outback. I love pina coladas!

Anticipation

I got some great news from Charlie today. He will be home sooner than expected for his R&R leave. YAY!! Of course, I can't post exactly when he will be here or when he will leave Iraq, but I will update as much as I can along the way. We are all very ready for him to get home - it's been over eight months since we saw him. The anticipation is killing me, in a good way =)

Aloha Miss Lindsay

Today was Miss Lindsay's last day of teaching Rachel's dance class. Rachel was sad and went back twice to say bye. Luckily, she's three and after she got a piece of candy she was fine. The new teacher has been in class with them for the past few weeks so hopefully it will be a smooth transition.

Cute As A Button

Rachel got her hair cut today. It is sooo cute! I love it!! I'm still trying to learn about her curly hair, it's hard to manage, especially since she doesn't want to sit still to have it done. I'm hoping that since it is a little shorter it will be easier to handle and eventually her bangs will finish growing out.

80s Party!

Tonight was Robyn's 80's birthday party. It is going to take me weeks to get my hair untangled and all this make-up washed off. But it was worth it!

I love the 80s!

Doggone Happy

Coco got a special delivery today - Tonya sent her a Loofa dog (the one like in PetSmart commercials) and she LOVES it! She was begging right when I pulled it out of the box and it hasn't left her side since. She's also very fashionable in a new pink Georgia Bulldog collar! We actually all got something in the box - I got a Northside t-shirt (GO EAGLES!), Charlie got a Demons shirt (BOO!), Aidan got a Transformer's shirt, and Rachel got a really cute polka dot dress, and I got a Rachel Ray cookbook! My mom ROCKS! I'll post a picture of the kids on Monday, they decided they want to wait and wear their new stuff to school. Thanks for all the great stuff!!

Happy Birthday Keegan

Yesterday was Keegan's 5th birthday. He had a Star Wars party and Aidan thought that was really cool. We had a good time eating pizza and cake and watching him open his gifts (and the kids helped play with them too, lol).

Like, The Best Trip To Goodwill Like Ever

Today, we like totally went to Goodwill because we needed some totally rad clothes for Robin's 80's birthday party. Carissa, Lori and I are like totally taking the party to the max with our tubular outfits. We, like, totally had a rush trying on all kinds of like 80s artificacts or whatever. Like, here are a few totally bodacious pictures from our trip.

Don't I look like totally pretty in pink?

This is like my bomb bimbette outfit! You dig it?

Lori decided to like "just say no" to this Supremes look. She's going to totally rock it in a mesh top and leggings instead - very gnarly!

Like Carissa hit the jackpot in this choice black lace dress.

I Love School Projects

Aidan had his first project for first grade due today. They all made paper dolls of themselves. His is wearing a Transformers t-shirt, of course, lol. When Rachel saw he was doing his she had to do one too. Hers is decorated with bear stickers.

Pool Fun

We made an impromptu trip to the pool yesterday with some of our neighbors. It was very hot and sunny until we got to the pool and then it got cloudy and breezy - typical Hawaii weather!

Hurry Up & Wait

After trying to figure out his re-enlistment for the last month or so, Charlie was finally able to talk to the retention/recruiter (whoever they are) people about his re-enlistment. His plan is to reclass and be a MP (military police). But there are no more openings for MP this fiscal year so he has to wait until October to try again. I am impatient and I don't like to wait. Especially since we have to wait until he re-enlists to get find out where our next station will be or if we will be needs of the Army (where they send you where ever they want to). So now we wait until October.

Us With Canons and Tanks

We had to make a little trip down to Waikiki today and while we were there we took a few pictures in front of the Ft DeRussy Army Museum. Aidan and Rachel thought the tanks and canons were really neat. When Charlie comes back we'll have to go and see what they have inside the museum too. And the thing on Aidan's neck is his batman cape - he was rock & roll batman today, lol.

Ninja Update

My little ninja is ready to move on to real Tae Kwon Do class. Since Aidan will be six next month I talked to his instructor today about moving him out of little ninjas and into a regular class. He said that Aidan is very focused and ready for the real class. We will be going to watch one of the classes this week so he will know what to expect and to order his new uniform so he will be ready to start in September. I think this is going to be great for Aidan - the classes are much more disciplined and the instructor is the same but much stricter. And they get to go twice a week instead of just once.

Here he is today breaking paper. Pretty soon that might be a board!

Rachel's First Day of School

Rachel started her second year of preschool today. She is going to a different center with new teachers and I think it is going to be great for her. She was really excited to go and when I picked her up she said she had a good time. And she was really happy that they had blocks to play with =)
