On Friday we started our journey from Illinois to North Carolina. We drove across Illinois, Indiana (lots of construction in Indiana - lots! but we did win $2 on a scratch off ticket, lol) and most of Kentucky before stopping for the night. Saturday morning we finished Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia and finally arrived at Charlie's parents in North Carolina. Aidan and Rachel are wonderful travelers and did great the whole trip - whoever invented the Nintendo DS is my new hero.
On our way, somewhere in Indiana, we stopped at an exit and saw a truck painted like Optimus Prime on Transformers. When we told Aidan he got very excited and asked to have his picture taken with it. He was so happy!! He kept saying "I knew they were real. Jonathan told me they were real!" After Charlie took his picture he ran back to the car saying "I knew it!" It was the cutest thing.
Yay for Virginia! State number five on our trip!

Too funny! Every time that Jonathan sees a car with a transformers sticker on it, he does that too!
