A Pain in the ...

Hip. Tuesday Aidan woke up complaining about his left leg hurting. He was limping around and we couldn't figure out what was wrong with him - he was fine when he went to bed the night before. We sent him to school but his teacher called around lunch to say he was still limping and was just sitting with his head down so I went and picked him up and took him to the acute care clinic. They did an exam and took blood and did x-rays of his knee, femur, and hip and couldn't find anything broken or out of joint but since he's six and was limping we had to take him down to Tripler (the big Army hospital) to see the Orthopedic doctor. When we got there he had some more exams and x-rays and after 8+ hours they came to the conclusion that he has bursitis in his hip, probably from falling down all the time. He's fine now and hasn't limped in a while but we still follow up with the Orthopedic doctor in a few weeks just to be sure everything's okay. I am so thankful for free medical care!
