It's another lovely, rainy winter in Hawaii and this year we've had a lot of thunder storms. We had a bad storm - by Hawaii standards anyway - yesterday and our entire island lost power yesterday at about 6:45pm. Me and the kids were at the PX and thankfully their flood lights came on - rain or not I had to check out some of those after Christmas deals, LOL. Aidan is pretty terrified of the dark so the walk to the car was interesting. Since we've done without power many, many times here, I've got lots of candles and flashlights and batteries on hand so once we got home everyone was fine. We all camped out downstairs and listened to the radio for updates until we all passed out. Thankfully the power came back on at about 6:30 this morning. The newspaper here couldn't even print the paper - so they did an e-paper - the picture is of the front page.
