Getting Settled

We're in Kentucky!
In Fort Knox!
In our house!
And I'm blogging on my computer!
YAY!

We moved into our new place last Thursday and got our household goods delivered a few days ago. It has been a ton of work getting everything unpacked and put away - especially since this house is smaller than our last and has less storage space. But after two days of hard labor we've got it pretty much done.

The move went very smoothly. Since we got on the housing list months ago, they offered us a house two days after we got here - which was in time to make a quick trip back to Georgia for the 4th of July and my nephew Jordan's 2nd birthday party (pics to come later, gotta get them from Tonya) before Charlie's leave was over. Everything made it from Hawaii in perfect condition and our movers had it all unloaded before lunch.

Aidan and Rachel were thrilled to see the movers and spent a while watching them back the truck down the street.

We did a little exploring this evening - Fort Knox is huge and has a lot of tanks placed randomly around post.

Instead of firing a cannon at the end of the work day, they fire a tank.

Even though our house is smaller - our yard completely makes up for it - this is taken from my back patio. It's awesome!

Aidan at the playground. Notice that he's got a shaved head - that's what happened while I was in Cincinatti.

Yard looks awesome! Don't forget pics of the house! Glad you are able to start getting settled again, and getting that man back to work. ;)
